The Story

The Spontaani button-up shirt has a fitted straight cut and it features the Mini Unikko pattern which is printed in Helsinki. The shirt has a button closure and side panels. The long sleeves have wide cuffs with slits and button closures.

This product is made of cotton twill which contains 96% organic cotton and 4% elastane.

Our shirts are cut using the whole width of the fabric and therefore their appearance may vary. Each item is unique.

Marimekko’s famous pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today the iconic flower represents creativity.
